I finally got around to finishing off my restoration of the '91 TRX250X today. I put on some Honda decals from Sticker Point. They are really high quality laser cut vinyl transfers. I've used them quite alot before and they always come out yards ahead of the crappy OEM stuff that ends up peeling off in a month.

One does not buy a 250X really for performance. I thin kthe performance of a 250X is comparable to a 200X. They are reliable, and have reverse, thats what matters.

Very nice work as always Tejas. Can't say the same for that 250R powered 250x though  Look how the exhaust runs under the footpeg, yikes!

... Here's a before pic ...... The top end of the power band didn't change much when I put the Uni-filter and the T-4 exhaust on it .. but .. it really woke up the low/mid range and she pulls wheelies through 4th nicely now. I'll ride her for the rest of the winter then sell her for something else to work on. My next project is to get my free 225DX going - if anybody has any experience in changing out the swing-arm bearings on them let me know - it looks like a beyotch with the shaft drive and all - its the only thing thats been holding up its resto.

225 swingarm bearings arent all that bad to do, the hardest part is putting the swingarm back on, and getting the drive shaft in right, that was a pain... The bearings themselves are really easy, they are tapered, and fall right outare you sure its the bearings??? I though the bearings were bad in my old one, but they werent, it ended up being the pivots(cant remember what their called) were worn, they were like $10 a piece...

.... the Decals are directly from Dennis Kirk ... about as simple as you get.

.... oh and another thing, as with all vinyl transfer type decals, when you're applying them, only rub on the decal and not on the whole "sheet" part of the transfer .... trust me, you'll thank me later.
