Ok,drove it a little around the yard and it seemed to be something was dragging.I checked the brakes,their fine.The chain needed adjustment,so i thought i would tighten it up a little and saw this(see pics).I have a rad carrier.The right tightening bolt goes all the way in like it should,but the left side only goes in so far?When i went to roll it inside the garage,it stopped after about 2 feet like the brakes were on.I noticed the carrier was moving,thus tightening the chain as it went backwards,now i know why it stopped!But the sprocket hub has a groove in it(not all the way around,just part of it)from the carrier,it doesn't look centered and the hub is too close to the carrier.

at first i was gonna say to tighten the right side axle nuts up tighter but i see the chain is running very close to center on the sprocket like it should.
crap ,,,, i don't know 452x ,,,, have you tried backing the chain off some what or maybe did you notice if the brake disc is abnormally warm ,,, i know you said the brake wasn't hanging up but it's a good check. you'll of course hafta make a lap or 2 around the yard and then feel the disc.

Get ahold of Troll, I think he said mine had that issue also, I think it needs a spacer in there to work correctly. He would know.

Is the Rad. carrier a double row or tapered bearing?

The 350x I had from blazer had a dura-blue axle and a double-row carrier.
So;
It did the exact same thing in regards to rubbing the sprocket hub against the side of the carrier.
There just isnt enough clearance (gap). So it needs to be spaced out a little with a spacer. I used a external snap ring. It was probibly .015 -.030 or so thick, and worked perfect. I had a assortment to pick from. Just find one thats the same diameter as the inner part of the bearing, then it will fit between the outer ( far left) part of the bearing and sprocket hub. Its just making the space wider. Very easy and simple. I didnt even pull the axle out, just slid it to the left a bit, then slid the sprocket hub over, then spread the snap-ring around the smaller part of the axle. Then reassembled.
On the double roller, theres a spacer inbetween the carrier bearings, so I tightened them with the axle lock nuts very tight.
The taper bearing style is a different type adjustment and is very tricky.
If the carrier was turning and adjusting the chain by itself, then the swingarm bolts that hold the carrier arnt tight enough. I slide the carrier all the way in.Then tightend carfully. Good luck and let us know........... :cool: .
