View Full Version : I'm 2 seconds from giving up!!!!HELP!!!

OK, I got a 84 125m motor and i'm putting it in a 85 110, Now I have wiring from a 86 trx125 and I'm trying everything under the sun to get some spark, with still no spark i'm turning to you fellas for help I have been trying for 2 weeks now. Is there anyway to make a new wiring harness using the trx wiring and the 110 wirinig?

have you tried just using the 110 wiring or is their something wrong with it.

the 110 wiring is perfect but it dosent work either.

.....after 2 harness's I would say that that is not your problem!

Hmm, I agree with you almac16, you have a diff problem than the harness, have you vhecked the simple stuff(like the plug and kill switch)

I have tried 2 good coils and 3 sets of the upper cdi unit. It has to be wiring.

I have looked at that but I dont know whats diffrent between the trx wiring and the 125m wiring.

Did the TRX's have reverse? Nevermind... that'd just not let the starter work. Well, I got a 1984 125M frame, engine, etc here..... I'll have to peek and see how much of the wiring is there.....

350x'inNY yes the trx has reverse. If you have the wiring that would be great. I made sure that everything was grounded I went back and sanded the ground spots. One diffrence that I noticed last night is that on the wirinig diagram it showed the 84 125m being grounded at the coil. the coil I have is the floating coil thats mounted with the rubber piece.

That may sound like a stupid ? but it's a good one, if it's not grounded well, it will not fire.

OK, she has spark, but it's only weak spark like 1 0r 2 times per pull will it start like this? what could be the problem now?
