Hi Guys.....
This trike looks pretty tidy and I don't think it is a YFM or a late 80's model(!) but can someone tell me for sure what it is and is it worth grabbing?
It's on a local auction site, sort of a mini Ebay run here in NZ.
The pic isn't great but if you guys think it's a good model, I'll have a go at grabbing it for a 2nd trike.
Thanks in advance.

I think it is a 225dxr limited edition. I have picture of one in my old magazines somewhere. You should keep an eye on it for sure!

Thanks Guys. Worth buying for the right price? I don't know much about the Yamaha trikes and I was looking for another Honda for my wife but this looks like a good ride.
Thanks

It's in NZ Dollars. That means around $400US at the current exchange rate. I went and took a look at it today. Not bad at all.

I got that trike today. I was outbid on the auction and then the winning bidder didn't come through so the owner offered it to me.
I'm pretty sure this trike is a 1986 ytm225DRS. It has "Tri Moto Reverse" stickers still on the side of it and according to a website I found that says the 10th character on a Yamaha VIN denotes the year it was made - it's an 86. Cool.
Paid $850NZ for it. ($520US). Needs a good tidy up but it's all there and runs well.
I'll post some pics when I borrow a digital camera.
