rings or not? 300EX

My 300ex is spitting out oil out of the vent tube (on top of motor).. i was told i probably cracked a ring. i pulled the moto apart and the rings look good. can you look at a ring and tell if its good. i pulled the rings off and they look good. any ideas? thanks

Did you take the piston out fo the jug? There is obviously too much blow-by, due to a bad seal, or a broken ring. When you compress the ring, they should just about touch. Just a reminder though, this is the trike forum! I'm sure more replies will be givin in Quad Central! ;)

With experience its often easy to visibly tell, but you can also measure ring end gap, and ring thickness, but youll need those specifications.
