22x11x10 kenda front max and whatever you want for the rear. I've got 22x12.5x10 Spidertracs and I'm lookin at either 20 inch Holeshots or 18 inch Cheng Shin 826's or Hoosier MX's. Lots of options.

buy a used mohave front rim and put on a holeshot 23" xct on the front, put 20" fast trekkers(very slidable), regular holeshots, or some other similar tire on the rear. don't put turf tamers or razr's, they are way too grippy, they have a hard time sliding much on quads. Of coarse this is for woods riding. If you are doing mx, mohave rim and 22" holeshot and 18" tires(pretty much all 18" tires are very slidable)

Thanks for the info and advice. Will the 85 250r front rim work on the Tecate?
Does anyone know how to get the airbox out of the frame on the Tecate?

the stock front tire
and yes, the badlands are carlisle, just couldnt remember the name :p
and to get the air box out of the tecate on the 84/85 you need to remove the rear shock and i think the linkage and then squeeze it out of (i think) the side of the frame, it's ben a while since i needed to take my airbox out, but i remember that the shock does need to be removed
