I've searched and came up a little confused. Some say a cleaner and some say to sand them with fine grit. What grit do you use? 2000? Then polish?
Mainly I am wanting to get this tank like new or close to it if at all possible. Pics are attached. Its discolored, not really 'faded' as in dull, just discolored.
Whats the best way to go about getting it back to 'normal'
Thanks!

1. Clean with very strong detergant.
2. Let dry with no gas inside.
3. Sand the really bad areas with a 2000+ grit sand paper.
4. I use a buff wheel with 00 to 000 steele wool.
5. (You can use both or just one)I used the plastic renew stuff and then used Mop-n-Glo to finish it off.
Hope that helps.

This is what I did with mine. It was about as bad as yours. I didn't mention that I wet sanded. That makes sanding plastic easier.

when i got mine it was completely white and faded, i just sanded the crap out of it, took a razor blade to some of the really tough spots, sanded some more, got finer and finer, then some armoral, and its good as new.

My cousin would wet sand his fenders and they looked brand new after he got done.
