I went to put a new tire on my 200es and the axle decided it wasn't going to budge. I used everything at my disposal to get it out but nothing worked. It was the first time I had to take my front tire off and I thought I might be dealing with an axle of likes I've never seen before. I took the manual out just to be sure there wasn't some super easy thing I was missing, although most axles I've dealt with on 3 wheelers just slide out. The manual said to just slide it out. HA HA. Finally I just said forget it, and since my shocks are shot anyway I just unscrewed them from the bottom and slid them off. Infact I think thats the way I'll do it from now on if I have to take off the front tire on the big red again.

Yeh it really suks dont it. I had trouble getting mine out of my 200es when i had it. Soaking it in lube and then giving it to a presser still wouldnt budge it. I ended up just laying into it with a BFH and she came out. Same story with my 250es one minus the happy ending....

yep ,,, same on my bigred. last time i had it apart to put a drive unit on for the odometer i had to beat the dog crap out of it to remove the front axle
and like a dummy i didn't clean it all up as good as i should have and just pounded it back together.
now i need to replace the front tire ,,, i'm not looking forward to it at all.
i think i'll put in a grease zirk when i have it all apart ,,,, like i done on my 350x ,,,
