dam, I wonder what my new, never mounted +2 with new repro decals is worth then? Too bad my brother wont let me sell it! I think the Champion swingarm he has on his 84 is cooler anyway......................

damn you ppl and your extended swingarms! lol i need one and cant find one at anywhere near a sensible price.
why the hell is it a tecate will sell for 500 bucks and this simple part will sell for almost the same price.
if anyone has one they want to part with for a couple hundred let me know and we'll make a deal.

and another thing, isnt that an 84/85 arm because the mount is right in the middle for the uni-trac rod to mount, i always thought that the 86 mount was off to the left side a little.

I'm seriously thinking of selling my Tri-Z +2 West Coast Swingarm and my Bill's exhaust on ebay just so he'll buy it for about 10 times what it's worth! :beer
Virgil, just to let you know your auction started out too rich for me, so my offer wouldn't have been good enough, though I was going to throw in my stock swingarm which is in pretty good shape. You made the right decision by listing it on ebay! Good luck with it! :)

Save your money......I am having these swingers reproduced. First run will be for 84-85's (20) Next run will be 86-87(20). These swingers will be superior to the CALFAB because the material is more pure with much cleaner TIG welds. I will let everyone know when they are available, (Feb-March 05') All swingers will be +2. Slight aesthetics will be changed so copyrights won’t be infringed upon.

I'll buy one for the `85 when you get it done and i see an actual product that i can buy from you. how much is it gonna cost me and how much will it cost you to do this?

meh, im not that picky about it. as long as it aluminum and longer than stock.
so are you really gonna reproduce these arms?

Cost will be reflected on time it takes to manufacture and material costs. The Swingers will also be fully polished. As to questions related to "but they won't be CALFAB?” they won't be......they will be better, ask Kelvin Franks he is helping with the design. Remember this is 2004 not 1984....look for a derlin chain deflector as well......

Hey Tecate4life. I assume that this is the same Kevin Franks that used to manufacture the aftermarket tubular styled extended swingarms in the early-mid 80's.? They were normally blue with the Frank's name on the side and if memory serves like a Kangaroo or something like that on the logo. I will have to go dig out my magazines again and take a look.

That is correct. Mr. Franks built many custom bikes from the ground up. This included frames, swingers and triples. Kelvin built Jimmy Whites (Pre) 85' Tecate with custom frame and KX tank (Not to be confused with the 85 champion frame, metal gas tank bike.) I now own it, along with kx 500 air cooled custom, rotax 250 custom, and Maico custom all built by Kelvin.

I've gotta see pictures of the Maico. That sounds so cool! :beer
Cant wait to see these swingarms!
Here's one I'm working on. Kinda following the CAL-FAB look. I'm designing it to mount up to the 86 KXT and then accept an eccentric Tecate4, Mojave, or even 86-89 250R carrier and axle assembly. Haven't decided which yet so it's still in a rough state of design. They follow the same format basically. I'd rather stay Kawasaki, but want to open up parts availabilitly. Once I decide I can adjust dimensionally.
But hey, knowing me, i'll probably never get it built! ;)

Its O.K. if you’re skeptical, I'll post the pics. Unfortunately I don't have alot of time to answer questions about my bikes, nor do I flaunt what I have, but since you called me out, per say, I will submit some pics of some of my rides tonight.
