Thanks 84250R for posting that picture. I am sure getting stoked. I talked to the guy and he said he found the pink slip and its waiting for me. I got the $1500 out of the back and can't wait for Saturday at 10:30am to get it. The first thing I'm going to do is bail that drinking bottle. Then ride it!

Man, that is a nice clean bike. If it runs as good as it looks, you got a real steal (even if it don't run good, its a steal). You should check and see if the owner has the original rear rims, they should have slots around the hub like the front rim does.

About an hour before leaving the guy called and said he had a family emergency. He asked if we could meet tomorrow at 10:30am instead. I said OK even though I want the bike bad. Now I should I have it tomorrow forsure he said. He is a real nice guy.

That previous post by AirManCam has got me worried that the bike might be an 85. The guy said its an 86 but is that really an 85 front rim. I mean its not a biggy if its 85 but I was excited it was (or still is) an 86

I don't know about the rim,but the seat is from an 85 model. Frame sticker should tell it all!

That is definately an '86 front rim. No matter what year it actually is, that is a really nice bike.

Well, the tank sticker is from an 86. The rim IS an 86. The heatshield appears to be an 85. BUt it will be hard to tell untill you get the bike. Good luck with it, and its sunday.so how did ya make out?

Well I got it and I am so stoked. I got it home and rode it in the street and it is so much more power than my 200X. It has so much rev and snappy throaty power. It starts fist kick every time and no smoke. I disceclted the bike really close and it has very little use. I can tell by the frame paint is really nice and shinny and has all original disclaimers on it. The axle bearings are really tight and the swing arm has almost no nics. Even the engine paint is in really good shape. Ohh and its an 1986. Its says it on the bike as well as the pink and reg. I'm really stoked on my pruschase. I polished the wheels today and there like mirrors. ANy ways I'll get som action pics soon but thanks everyone for all your support and advice, Chris

they make some stuff called wenol. it comes in a little red tube. wenol is the greatest...it will work wonders on your metal. i polished a bumper once that was coated with oxidation and it took it right off and shined it up nice
