put in a cr125 motor is your best bet. you can not mod a 200x motor to keep up with a z400

My 200x has some mods and is not really that much faster, but it did make a difference. I have a 12:1 piston, K&N air filter, supertrapp head and tail pipe and I run octane in the fuel. The trike has more rev than a stock one, but not sure really how much faster it is. You can also do a cam but I hear that is hard on the crank. You can also do a performance carb but messing with a carb on a 200x is asking for flooding issues and hard starts. I got a stock carb with a 113 main jet and it starts super easy and doesn't flood. I think on the 200x it helps allot to run a smaller tire like an 18" to 20" and not the big ballon 22's. Smaller tires will gove more low end.

would a cr250 motor fit in a 200x chassis or would it??? also i would like to know if a cr125 motor would have to have fabrication to make it fit to?

yes and yes the cr250 would need a lot of fabing but the cr 125 all you need to do is fab some motor mounts and get custom exhaust!

any year the newer the beter, but you would have to put some radiators on your bike some where. look on ebay i bet you could get an 85-90 cr125 bike for about 1000-1500. if you do this i would get the whole bike so then you have the carb, electroonics, and radiators.
