How coincidental. In australia on channel 9 this week all the police academys are showing. Anyway i was at my mates last night and i was on his computer and my other mate who was online said "quick channel 9 now!" im like why and he goes just do it...so i did and then i see this guy sitting on a white 250es. Evryone at my mates house was like turn it off and im like hell no you will watch it and you will enjoy it....anyway the guy takes off and races this jeep thing...he does a nice wheelie and rips up a bit of sand. I thought it was pretty cool. Im trying to download the movie now...just for that bit. Oh btw i reckon that the bigred looks better in red plastic ;) .

Its not a movie but close. Anyone remember the real bad sci-fi series in the late 80s called "War of the Worlds ressurection" i think thats what it was circa 87.

Well in the first sceen of the first episode. A bunch of all black 83-85 200Xs and air cooled 250Rs were the vehicle of choice in the big chase scene at the beginning. The DVD is still avail at amazon and such - maybe i'll splurge and get it to upload here. They were jumping out of the back of trailor truck being chased by either aliens or security.

That's right, cool movie. In that the star of the movie restores the Tri-Z with help from his little brother or friend. It was all done up black with no decals. After it's all minted out he almost kills himself by running it off a cliff. At the last minute he dives off and the trike goes over and wrecks:cry:

heart like a wheel is a real cool movie. my grew up with shirley mouhdowney, and even used to drag race against her in street races back in the day. she had a pink corvette, my dad had a cuda...he even has some pics of them, pretty cool stuff. american anthem is an ok movie too, like how in one scene the trikes a 225 then in the chase scene its a tri-z, and supposedly custom built from frame up. i did see an episode of king of the hill with a trike in it in the background.

As was mentioned on the first page(years ago...lol), the Tears For Fears video "Everybody Wants To Rule the World" video has several segments of 3-wheelers. I remember seeing it on MTV when it was brand new(decades ago....lol...sob) and thinking it was cool as heck.

I downloaded it off of Limewire the other night and it's still cool. My wife walks through and hears the song, watches a couple seconds of the video, looks at my Pac-Man squeaky toy on top of the computer and my long hair, and just walks out shaking her head. Guess I may be stuck in the '80s:)

There is a B movie called "In the woods" Filmed around mid 90's i think, that has a 350x with lime green tank shrouds and headlight case in it. I rented it on a whim one night because it had stickers on it saying it was filmed in the town i live by(Kalamazoo, MI) and low and behold i recognized almost every location in the movie, one being about 5 miles from my house, the other a bar i used to hang out in before it closed. Shot by some local college kids with no money it had some interesting special effects, one being the dubbed in 2 stroke sound effects that come in when the hero makes a daring escape on the ATC, lol. Fast foward a few years, i go riding with a buddy who's gonna take me to some guys house right down the road i don't know and ride his trails. I didn't think anything of it till' a 86' 350x with lime green stuff all over it comes rolling out of the garage. Sure as can be, it was the "movie" bike and all the woods scenes were filmed in his back yard and the house in the movie was his. I think he was related to, or somehow knew one of the filmmakers and let them use his stuff to make the movie. Kinda neat, but that 350x was ugly as sin. All i could say was, wow, small world huh?, lol

Watching an edition of 'Worlds Most Amazing Videos' today (don't ask why!) there was a clip of a car race called Midget racing and when one of the cars rolls and catches fire (driver escapes ok), at the bottom of the screen a Br250 is one of the rescue vehicles.

Don't know if this counts, but I was running through some old vids and found a piece of film of the 1986 Paris - Dakar rally. There is a Honda of some sort (I'm guessing a 250/350?), possible factory entry, certainly got as far as Algeria. Less than 10 seconds on screen. I've no idea if it made the full 12,000 kms though, but it'd be nice to think it did.

In Pink Floyd's The Wall there is what appears to be an ATC 90 in one scenes where the song 'empty spaces' is played to one of the animated scenes.

Yeah, Will Farrell and the boys rode a few 200x's. Think about it, insanely popular movie, showing off three wheelers doing what they do best. Best yet it's modern. Gets some noggin's a crankin' for sure.

my mom was watching a movie a few months back with jane seymore in it. and in the movie at some point you see them riding a couple trikes on a ranch.

Just watched christmas in canaan (2009 movie with Billy Ray Cyrus) and near ther the end there was a MINT, Like new ATC 70 (73/74 if i were to guess (At the part in the movie that it was showen i think was like 75) could be newer though, it was red and had 70 on the tank) under the christmas tree.

the 2011 sequel "Christmas Returns to Canaan" Also got a 3 wheeler in it, it looks like a tri moto painted red. i watched some promos and the closest i could get a pic of is the handle bars and headlight of what i'm guessing is from the trike:

Edit: Guessing its a 1982+ Tri moto 175? the top part of the body between the tank and seat had the slots in it.

I never saw this thread before. It was before my time as a member here, BUT I am actually IN the Tears for fears video for ~ 1 second riding a 350X with my girlfriend on the back and neither of us are wearing helmets. It was filmed at windy point heading towards Palm Springs south of I-10. The Dinosaurs in that video are at the Cabazon exit for I-10. Funny thing is the 350X was not mine, it belonged to my friend's brother. We ditched school to go riding, and his brother couldn't go so I borrowed his 350x for the day.

On TV no but on the imdb in the upper right of the trailer data is a link to watch the trailer. I think they have a Bronco as well as 3 wheelers. If they do I will be buying this movie!
