will a great running condition 1985 250es big red-everything works except brakes could use a set of brake pads, be worth trading for a 1984 200x that has cracked fenders, rebuilt rear mastercylinder, about 90% tread tires, and a leaky rear brake hose be worht trading even up??? will a 200x petcock fit in a 250es gas tank?

i think that it depends on the person and what type of riding they do,if you are a person that does yard work, towing and some play trail riding then a big red is for you but you will lose a good yard bike, but on the other hand if you want a great little race bike then go with the 200X.Personally since I am a racer then I would trade for the X.no the petcocks will not fit,the bigred will be worth more money though...

The Big Red is worth more money. Plain and simple.

imo ,,,, you would be giving the owner of the 200x a very nice deal
( and you would be screwing yourself )

well i traded my 1985 250es big red for a 1983200x today, the big red had great front brakes but bad rear brakes so i bought new rear brake padss for it, the battery is either shot or needs replacing, and the fenders have some small cracks in them, and the 200x has terribly cracked fenders, leaky rear brake hose, needs a tail light bulb, needs rear axle bearings, and the baffles are blown out of the muffler, but it runs great, and has almost brand new rear tires on it, so thats what i traded

Well i wouldn;t have made the trade a 250 big red goes for 4 times a 200x up here i sold my parts 250 big red for 1100 and could have picked up a 85 200x for 450, and a 86 200x for 600.
i wouldent have traded that but if you like it better its your trike i suppose
