( HELP ) 85 R fouling plugs

My 85 R is fouling plugs left and right. I've tried everything! so now im down to what plugs i should be using..The plug i was using was a BR8ES..The book says use a BR9ES for normal riding but the guy at honda said use a BR7ES..Im running Klotzs @ 40:1,142 main jet,Carb is clean,air filter is clean....SO im going to try a different plug but if this doesn't work then.............................I'll have no idea what to do next PLZ HELP ME :(

use a b8es, I noticed a difference in motor performance between a br8es and b8es,. that all I ever used on my tecate, 250r quad, 250r trike

it could be lots of things. the rider. the oil ratio or it could have slop in the piston i dont know how that does it but thats what my friends t-3 did.

Is that the stock jetting???Is that the recommended ratio for your oil???

I wouldnt go with any plug hotter than the 8's....You could try a B8EG or B9EG....They have a fine tip that resists fouling....

But before you try a hotter than recommended plug check your needle/seat and float level...they can both cause a rich mixture.....

I also strongly recommend using Yamalube 2-R mixed at 40/1,....

The first sign of a worn bore is the appearance of running rich. A B7ES or BR7ES will last a little longer before fouling, but address the symptoms rather than the problem.

Well, Im now running HP2 oil and a BR9EG @ 40:1..The spearting of oil out my pipe stopped and the plug looks normal..So ill try this for a while and see how see runs :)

could be wore rings, worn bore, worn reeds, at least those are the things i would check, 142 main jet??? last i checked thats stock jetting, your bike isnt stock is it? , if your running a 142 main and oil at 40:1 and your bike isnt stock and your fouling plugs, you have a bigger problem then a spark plug.
