I was going to take my front hub assembly off today to get my leaky tire tubed at a local shop. I've got both rear ones tubed and they have held up great and never leaked. For some reason the tires I'm running want to leak all around the sidewall. Can't patch and I don't know if i want to use slime...

Anyways your supposed to just unbolt one end of the axel and it should slip right out the other side right? The axle will not budge at all and I've hit it with a hammer repeatedly and soaked with PB blaster. Am I missing something? Any tips?

Thanks in advance for any help. :)

I had the same problem on my 200es and my 250es. It is just a common problem that will be encountered. Try heating the fork leg up a bit and soaking it in some diesel or other penetrant for a few days then heat it up again and pound it out. If all else fails take it to a engineer and get it pressed out. If you do get it out, break out the old grease tub and lube her up before putting it back in. Goodluck Nick,

Matt

my axle on my old 200s had a bolt on the end that kept it from moving but once you took that off the axle had to be unscrewed ...... there were treads in the fork .....

yes my 185s was spose to be unscrewed but the retard who had it before me striped it all...unbolt the tire off the hub and take it off first...then try unscrewing the rest it works easier than trying to hammer or pull..if that doesnt work do wat atcmatt said
