200x smoking bad?????

I just had a new top end reconditioning done not to long ago but it smokes real bad and burns oil fast but... always starts on first of second kick.... dont understand. after riding yesterday i let it sit till morning and went out and checked the oil and theres almost no oil in there! .. its a 200x by the way does this sound more valves or more piston and rings? or should i just replace both?

A 200X should only need a new topend every 10 to 20 years with recreational riding a few times month. Either something was not done right or you ran it low and oil and burned up the rings. The only other thing i can think of is a valve is not seating correctly. In any case the head needs to come off and while your doing that you should replace anything that looks remotely worn.
