i find them very nice machines. awsome lowend torque. it feels like they will tow anything. top end is also very good for a shaft drive bike. great wheelie machine!

Awsome machines. Ive had mine for a good 13 or 14 years now. Only thing Ive ever replaced mechanical wise was the U Joint, and I have ridden mine 100,000 miles.. And honestly, thats not to far off from the truth... this bike has a lot of seat time! This is its 4th seat cover, and 3rd set of foam if that tells you anything.

They are a good all around trike, the shaft drive is nice because of the low mantenance. Electric start is always nice, the suspension could be better but it beats none any day.

Great woods machine. You can find them cheap and most of the parts are still available at your local dealer. Why you asking? Got one lined up? Is it a DX DXN DRN?????

Just looking to see whats out there and noticed a couple at a decent price, actually cheaper than I expected. I used to have an yamaha enduro 125 many years ago and know I beat the crap out of that thing, just wondering how the three wheelers held up. Unsure at the moment if its a dx, dxn, or drn.

ive got a yamaha 200cc trike and a honda 200, i prefer the yamaha a lot more, it seems like a very solid machine and they dont require much maintenance, the shaft drive kicks ass

I did some work for a guy and he gave me two 1984 Yamaha 225 DX's. I'm more of a Honda 70 guy. I have no interest in these and need to unload them cheap. Any one here from So CAL interested?

I see them for sale a lot as advertised with smoking or bad engines it seems, I always thought they kid of sat lower in the front too or at least appeared that way because of the design of the plastic.

I own a 1985 yamaha 225dr and it's the best three wheeler I have ever ridden it hauls ass and is realy tough. My neighbors have two big reds and neither one can touch it. my three wheeler tops out at 58.3 mph according to my gps.

From riding my 225dx, I would say it's a good machine. Comparing my dx to my 250sx, the sx beats the yamie in every category. The handling was alright and the motor just didn't have the umph that my sx has. It could just be mine, as it is a 20 year old machine.

I don't have a lot of ride time on my dx though because the rear axle is now stripped where the ring gear goes on. If anyone is interested in it, I'll let it go cheap. I'm in NY.
