Hey guys,

I aint been on here in a while guys. If we aint been introduced, I used to come here quite often when I had the 250 big red trike. Behold my trike days are over.

Ive been mad about dirtbikes for ages, and last tuesday I bought one. Shes an oldie, approx a 90 - 92 CR 125, real well kept and going a storm. I had her out for a run last night and came in with the biggest smile on my face. So I came home from work today and dad says "that bike of yours is leaking a bit of oil". My heart dropped. I had a look around and guessed it was a gasket around the exhaust manifold/ power valve assembly. I went and got some instant gasket and got the socket set out, and removed the exhaust to get at the manifold...................................... jaw dropped!!! The casing between the gearbox and the power valve that hides a rod thingy is completly missing. The oil was blowing straight from the gearbox................ frik sake!!

Anyways, guys, where could I get a casing like that?? I've tried bikebandit with no luck, suppose there aint any guys about breaking said bike?? Cheers guys!

I'm not too familiar CR 125's, or the casing that's missing, but there are several places to begin looking for the piece in question:

1. Honda dealer
2. Service Honda
3. Ebay
4. Cycle salvage yard

So quit crying & start looking! Good luck!

Go to bikebandit.com and look up the schematics and you will be able to see what the name of the part is and any others that are missing. ronnies.com is another one to help you in identifying parts.

hey guys, cheers for the help. I had tried bikebandit traveler, it was my first port of call, and though it is usually brilliant, they did not have the schematic for the bike. Anyways I got in touch with a dealer close to my house and they were only too happy to help. The bike is now going a storm, still weeping a little oil from............. somewhere................ but nothing serious, and sure its so caked in mud already that any leaks should be well blocked. I love it, its my pride and joy.

Anyways, the front brake handlebar fitting, ie, the part that holds the blade is all messed up and I was wondering if they are specific to certain bikes, or could I plumb up any assembly to the hydraulic pipe??

Hi atc matt by the way, hope you are keeping well.
