Hey... I'm missing the 4 vertical rubber pieces on my 82 250R jug that are meant to reduce vibration. Tried to order from Honda but they are DISC. I picked up a spare R motor on my way to the mountains, and that has none of the rubbers. Do any of you have any for sale? Do you think a CR250R ones would be available? same?

I should have a complete set around somewhere....I actually need to put them on my R but if the price is right I'd sell them....How much is a complete set worth to you??

They arn't actually meant to reduce vibration - they are called silencers and are there to keep the head from "whistling" when air flows through the fins.

Hmmmm.... if they are 'for sound'... how come 4 strokes don't have them?

Thanks guys... Let me know if you got them.... I have the smaller ones on the head... just missing the 4 around the jug.

A 2 stroke produces all kinds of weird noises and the rubbers are meant to quiet some of those noises....My 81R makes so much weird noise that if I didnt know better I'd think it was on the verge of grenading....I'll have to try to find those rubbers,,,,let me know what theyre worth to you and I might skip putting them back on my 81.....

Was at the shop yesterday, and lone and behold there was a box labeled "83 R Parts" that the guy gave me with the motor. Had footpegs and misc bolts from what I first gathered. Well, I lost a bolt on my front calipar and dumped the box out to scavenge through the bolts and I found 6 of those rubber pieces@! Thanks for the offers guys... I'm all set with 2 to spare!

My Yamaha 200 has them. I was wondering what they were for, I figured they were just some sort of a spacer.

Huh, I would have guessed they would help the vibration. I don't really get how a rubber mount can reduce "whistling". How do they work?

I always figured they were to make the fins harder to break? Not as much space inbetween the layers? I dunno.
