I was going to replace both stock lines with steel lines but I'd like to know if I'll see a noticeable difference. Supposedly, the rubber lines swell but I can't feel any expansion when I hold the hose and squeeze the brakes. My front brake has always been a little spongy and I assumed that was because of hose swell. Anybody with first-hand experience?

I just recently put a rear disc brake kit on my Foreman which came with Stainless Steel braided brake lines with the kit. On the front is still the stock rubber lines going to the drum brakes. The difference is night and day. On the front...once the tires lock up...you can still squeeze the lever and it will feel "spongy." Now on the rear...the pedal feels MUCH firmer and more precise. I would say go for 'em! They are well worth the price and effort.

I bought the braided hoses just for the look. I do not notice the spongy feel so much now. Call James Lucky. The have the lines with a colored plastic on them so they will not scuff the bike.
