I got some 4/110 gold hubs that came mounted on some 8" X 8" shinny gold wheels and the guy I got them from doesn't know if they came off a 200X or a 250R. Does anyone know if the hub spline are the same or are they different in the R vs the X?

They are different.

I could be wrong here. But being as the hubs ( and rims ) are gold I will asume they are from a 250r. If the hubs are the correct ones for the rims ( 8x8 ) then I asume they are from a 83-84 250r. If I am right in my assumtions then hub splines should be the same a 200x.

If the hubs are actually off a 1985 or newer model 250r then the splines would be different.

You are right. I automatically thought of the newer R's, but the old R's, pre-1985, do use the smaller spline like the 200x.

Dam you guys are good. Thanks for the info. I still don't know what mine are and I'm not taking my hubs off to find out, but at least now I won't put them on ebay saying there for a particular model when they're not.

They would be 83' - 84' R hubs if they fit on a 200X and are the 4/110 pattern. They will fit on a 81-82R if you want to change to the more popular 4/110 pattern. They will also work on 200X and 110's at least. Not sure about 185/200's, but would assume so. I've used them on my 82R and traded 200X ones for them and they were on a 110.

They will NOT fit on a 350X or 85/86R.
