This will be my flat track racer for this winter.I painted it over Labor day weekend. The color is flourescent rose from House of Kolor. This is a 96 frame+parts. It will have white/blue plastic.American Racer tires on Douglas wheels.I might mod my motor some more and will use the LRD exaust.Hope to have it completed around Thanksgiving. The dig camera doesnt show the real gloww that this paint gives off.

this is the custom seat I made. My right thigh fits in the notch in the seat. The rest of me will hang out over the left nerf bar.

Looks great Jim! I like the seat idea you came up with. Should it be more comfortable?

May I ask how you painted the frame? Like just in a booth, or powdercoated, or what? I am tearing apart my warrior this winter, and am going to be painting the frame and want to know the best way to do it. Thanks.

The seat mod allows me to get lower on the machine. This should help me for flat track racing when leaning into the turns.I wont get to test the seat out til the first race.
I used a spray gun to paint the frame.I have a makeshift spraybooth in my garage w/ exaust fan. This paintjob was done in 3 steps,,white basecoat, flourescent paint, then clearcoat.the frame/parts were sandblasted and I fine sanded the bare metal before the paint went on. Paint is cheaper and looks good but powdercoat is alot more durable.
As far as updates, The frame still hangs in the same spot,,and the a-arms too. Right now I'm busy at work and have other things goin on.When i get my new tires/rims,the blaster will go together in a weekend. I'll get pics when i make some progress.

Heres the latest pics of the project.I took a ride up to NACS last weekend to p/u the new wheels/tires and a few other things.I decided to paint alot of other small pieces to the blaster so its going together slower than I'd like. Now if I could only scrape up enough $$ for a 240 kit.

I still have to tie down the front end, it will sit lower than it is in the pic.
Anyone know where to get custom #'s made? Solid black vinyl #'s are boring.

I was at NACs when Hurricane Ivan went through a few weeks ago. Rainy day had me bored, so I decided to take a ride and spend some $$$. It takes me an hour and 20min to get there.
When I get my hands on the dig camera I will have updated pics.
