View Full Version : I Feel The Love Again....
After all the time I have spent on my quad as of late, I have found it less and less likely for me to get a trike out. I have over 1600 miles on my 4 month old Prarie 700, I can take the GFs Polaris 600 out when ever I want to as well. The 225DR has a dead battery, and I hate to pull start it. The T3 is fluid locked and I don't feel like pulling the motor. ECT., ECT.,ECT.... w/ the rest of the trikes.
TODAY I DID A 30+ MILE RIDE ON MY NEW 85 SCRAMBLER TRIKE!!!! I loved every min of it! It felt like I went down the trails faster on it (w/o brakes) that I do on the P700. Its just FUN to ride a trike. I wasn't back in the barn for 5 mins befor I was looking at the T3, getting the repair scheduled for myself this week. I started the 200s and took it for a small ride out back just because.
I LOVE MY TRIKES!!! I can't believe I was getting away from them.

I took my trike from "Lack of Action Motorsports along rt. 81 between Brewerton and Cicero to get to the powerline trail to my house. It was all deep mud holes and it really sucked The first puddle I hit the water came up into my face. I then proceeded to have to get on it because the mud holes were up to my motor.Needless to say I was gettin some honkin from some passing cars because of the sick ass roost I was throwin. Anyway I was soaked at the first mud hole and I went through about 20 of em. I guess its been awhile since I have ridden a trike but I hated that 3 mile ride home. 1 plus is that my trike got dialed in and now that the clutch is set right, its damn scary. :beer
Mik6 I believe I have an 86 rear beraring carrier on my 84. Thats why I cant mount them. Did I have these rear brakes rebuilt for nothing?
I need a nice dry trail like the railbed on the north shore of the lake or the Oswego dunes.
You can either have 1 of my 84/85 carriors, I got 2 sitting here, or we can work something out w/ a 86 bracket into your rebuilt caliper.
LET ME KNOW

I think a bracket if possible because everything else is powdered coated. brackets can be polished. I will make sure this is the problem and then I will IM you and we can set something up. I appreciate your help. If not I can bring it up and we can look at it, then go for a little ride.

I have the same feelings towards my 85 350x. I have recently got a trx 450r and it is a great quad. I have put about 20 hours on it since May. For a while I hadnt ridden my 350x between riding my 450R and my XR 400r, but once I get on that 350x it is amazing to ride it and I feel at home again. and I wonder why I spent all that money on a 450r but either way. 11 years on 3 wheels doesnt add up to the short stints of owning 4 wheelers. 3 wheelers will always have a place in my heart and in my garage.

'85 350X here....
My trike fits me too a TEE!
I did some SERIOUS woods riding on Sunday and my bike performed perfectly.
Truth be told, my bike was actually more maneuverable in the woods compared to my two buddy's TRX450R and Raptor.
I can flick my trike around like a dirtbike, compared to the quads.
And it'll creep downhill like a trials' bike....whereas a heavy quad can become a handful.
Serious as a heartattack here folks....I LOVE my trike.
No if's, and's or but's.
Yeah, they're a wee bit more challenging in the woods sometimes but that challenge keeps me on my toes and watching the trail like a hawk.
In other words....your mind doesn't wander on a trike!!!
Love live TRIKES!!!!!!!!!!!
