If your going to rebuild the top end then you shouldn't have any more problems. Just sounds like a little blow by.
Note: Writing in all Caps is the same as yelling around here.
Good luck

was there any other symptoms or anything else wrong that provoked you fellas into pulling the motor ??? ( fouling plugs , no power ,,, hard to start )

If something was grinding enough to smoke you'd have a dead motor by now. Unlike a 2 stroke a 4 stroke crank is not seperated from the gears so if you had any blow by then it would vent out of the crankcase.

try changing your oil...u say its coming out the breather. my blaster used to do that but somehow water got into the oil and made it real runny so it just went out the breather. Let me know if this helps dude.

it was hard to start but dont know if any harder tha any other 4-stroke kicker? it ran ok when we got it runnin. my friend got it & a REd for free So we proceeded to spray down the cylinder w/oil a couple days prior to monkeying w/it ,we cleaned the X carb ,drained the old gas ,cleaned the tank out ,changed the oil, tracked down a good clutchside cover (clutch acctuater bent to hell)installed it hooked up clutch cable, replaced the cdi plate w/bigred one, kicked the hell out of it & got it to sputter so we towed it w/his LT125 down the rode & popstarted it & supprisingly ran & idled , we ran it around a little bit then it started to smoke out the exhaust then out of the crankcase breather , also started to loose power ,so we tore the motor out & are gonna start to tear down the topend to get a look at the piston & jug & thats where were at know I printed the 200x manual scans of of this site so we know what were doin i have decent knowledge of engines & are confident we can rebuild it but wante dto get some feedback from the best trike site ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! any responses would be greatly appreciated THANX

You will be rebuilding the top end for sure. If that motor is smoking out of the breather then you have a major piston/ring issue. That top end is letting oil up into the combustion chamber, burning it, and at the same time it is letting compression back past the piston and into the crankcase where it comes out of the only opening which is the breather. I am surprised that it runs at all....
Wiseco has the pistons and rings that you will need.

I had a car one time that used to do that. It would push the dipstick clear out of the motor. We took it apart and it had a hole in one of the pistons.

We bought a 84 200es and it would smoke like a biotch, and it had power related problems. Well we took it to the shop(usually we do the work ourselves), and they said the previous owner ran it without oil and then the piston collapsed. If I know anyone who has any ATV and they don't change their oil, I don't really have that much respect for them or their ignorance. I'm hoping you changed your oil. My friend's family van blew its engine, they wondered why, they never *ever* changed the oil!
