Well, I got my non running atc200 running after taking the entire engine apart and puting it back together using the manual...how its supposed to be. I am actually pretty proud off myself. It starts first or second pull and seems to idle no problem. So far so good....however...when I go to take it for a rip it has no top end power, only runs good with very little throttle as soon as I try to give it some gas it bogs down and runs crappy. I played with the carb idle screw and the mixture screw but neither seem to help. I checked out the plug and it gets carbon fouled pretty quickly (lots of black soot on it). The only thing I know that is wrong with the thing is the exahust is leaking where the pipe meets the muffler, not sure if this could be the problem. As well, there is carbon soot on the end of the tail pipe. If I look in the manual it says that I am running rich but I am not sure how to go about fixing this. I sure hope someone here can help me out..at least give me some direction as I am now officially lost. Thanks for all the help everyone has given me so far.

Mark.

try running it without the muffler(maybe the muffler is clogged up)whens the last time you put a new plug in?do you have gas coming from the petcock and do you have spark?

If the pipe isnt cloged then try taking the carb needle circlip down a slot to raise the needle then play with te idle screw accordingly

The needle only works the mid and the idle scew only helps the idle.

I already have the needle at the top...no where else to go. I stripped the carb down and cleaned it all..no diference. Seems like the exahust is not plugged to me but tomorrow I will take it off again and check it out. I think I may have to start playing with the timing unless any one has some better ideas...
