Here is a link to an ebay auction. The guy lives real close to me. How much do you guys think the trike's worth. I need to step up from the 110. Quite a step, but I'm 18 now. I need some damn power!
Thanks

Looks like a decent bike. Don't you have anything like a cycle trader paper there though? I can't imagine buying a bike over ebay.

I've bought a couple on ebay. I figure if it wasn't as descibed I just wouldn't take it home. Why feel obligated if they lied and it was junk? I've had good luck.
Looks decent and if it's as close to you as you say it is then go look at it first.
Dammit!

In that case, I'd go look at it and make him a cash offer if you want it.

Problem with that is then you and the seller could get into a pissing match since you (the buyer) agreed to purchase the bike by placing the winning bid..and it was your duty to check it out before bidding.....
Even if he did a horrible description (a big problem with ebay), you can still receive bad feedback from the seller, NOT fun.
I know it's not fair but that's the breaks of buying ANYTHING sight unseen.
One person might see something as MINT condition whereas it's mediocre at best to the rest of the world.
If you're lucky, it won't sell via ebay and you can make an offer/buy it outright.
Drive up there and check it out. Can't hurt!

That's never been a prob, because I figure I'd take neg f-back over lossing a bunch of money.

I've brought three bikes over ebay, all absolute belters, 86 250R, 86 250es and my 85 tri-z. Genuine guys all very help full and honest. Check out the feed back, contact them by phone and talk to them. Then if the bike is'ent as descibed yes you can always say no. Them lying is worse than you not paying and they will also receive negative feedback regarding the reasons for a non payment if they make a big deal about you not paying for an incorrectly described item. The buyer is spending the money and hence always makes the decision.
At the end of the day atc's are rarer over here in the UK than in America, and you can't get admags from all over the country viewing all the bikes for sale,I think ebay works as a sales medium to buy or sell something that would normally be hard or impossible to buy and get a realistic price from those who know the real value of rare items such as ATC's.

If it's runn'n good & has no visible oil leaks after a test ride, then $1K ain't too bad... Just from the pics I dont like the fact that it doesn't have a "case saver" but you can add it but make sure the damage wasn't already done. & that rear axle and nut would bother me but you can't really tell how bad rust on those is without a close inspection. If you do get it just be prepared to possibly put a few hundred into it soon & with that outlook it should be just fine. :beer
