I recently rebuilt a blaster engine and it runs excellent. But when i squeeze in the clutch and put it in gear it wants to creep real slow.
It goes into gear great no clunks or nothing it just wants to start going forward
I tried adjusting the cable ( the cable is New ) and still wants to creep forward.
Would the clucth plates or springs be bad then? is that usually what causes it?

Thanks

This is usually caused by grooves worn into the clutch basket, or by an oil that is too heavy. Grooves in the basket can be filed flat once or twice, but after that, the basket needs replaced.

Tim sr is right about the clutch basket,,,but the 80 wt oil is too thick. I use 10w30 or 10w40 motor oil. I have 2 2000 blasters that get ridden hard and both still have the original clutch.Change the oil before you remove the side case to look at the clutch.
