Hes right - Next weekend is the start of Bow here in Pa. - but - you can't hunt on Sundays, so I wouldn't count it out as a complete loss of a weekend. ALL the state trails closed this weekend (Sunday) for the winter so you can rule out Pohopaco, Burnt Mills or Maple Run.

.. well to answer your question, technically you can go riding - BUT - Not only is it dangerous for you, but as a hunter myself, its considered rude. Really, if you don't have a licence and a gun, you dont belong in a posted hunting area during season and hours.

Hey man, come on now. This sounds stupid to some people but, when looking through a scope or even an open sight, from far away a person not wearing any hunter orange could look like a deer. And yes some trikes can be loud, but if you are far away, you cant hear the engine. Just deal with it. and also, even though there may be no hunting on certin days of the week, not all hunters play by the rules, just like some riders who do not exactly have permision to be ridding on someone elses property, but thats a whole diffrent tread that could be started.

Its not the mistaking you for a deer thing thats a danger - it comes from pot shots and missed hits. I suppose you can say you have some of that danger in just hunting period - but - remember, you cover alot more ground on an ATV so your chances go way up simply by virtue of passing more hunters. Again, I just give advice here and its don't ride on posted land during hunting season and hours. Do what you want with it but above all be careful.

a lot of people let us ride, or look the other way, on their land when its not hunting season. people riding on posted land during hunting season is the main reason why they dont let us ride on their property at all. it really ticks them off and for good reason! during hunting season you should show some respect and be extra cautious. just my 2 cents.
