yea as deathman said it was prolly bought in 87....new 86..i dont thin personally its woth as much as hes askin espesillay in US iv seen one with alot more old parts like that go cheaper around hear,....unfounatly im a poor ass and couldent buy them :(

I remember that issue of DirtWheels, wish I still had it now too. I had over 5 years worth of them covering the mid 80s and toated them in boxes for the next decade plus. Then got sick of moving them and thinking nobody wants to see trike stuff anymore anyway so I junk'd em. :mad:

I called him Tuesday Morning and asked him about it. He said it was bought new in 87' and the pink slip says 87. I asked him about the I.D. tag, he said he had never looked at it before so I told him to check it and call me back. He didn't call me so I called him on Wednesday and he said, " yeah you're right, the tag says 86' but since it was bought new in 87' its really an 87'. Whatever, he thinks because it was purchased in 87' its technically an 87' bike, kind of like buying a 2005 model car in 2004. He is still selling it as an 87. B.S. :rolleyes:

i sent him an e-mail just politely asking "are you sure this is a 1987?" yeah, i know, i'm being a jerk, but what's good for the goose is good for the gander! nothing bothers me more than people trying to swindle other people. i'll post on here what he replies back to me...if anything at all.

here was the reply from him:

On the registration next to the vin# under year model
it says 1987. Under first year sold it says 1987. The
placard on the frame does say 1986. So legally it is
a 1987. If you are still interested email me back.


YEAH, RIGHT!!!!! gimmie a break. what a jerk.
