Well, after patiently wainting since I was 12 years old (that's 16 years of waiting) Yesterday I finally got what I've always dreamed of owning. A 1985 Honda ATC 350X. After riding 200S's and Big Reds my whole life, this puts a new spin on things. They are getting pretty hard to come by here in Western PA. I've been seriously looking for one for about 2 years now. Check it out: Things it needs NOW - seat cover and rear grab bar / 6 pack rack. Other than that, the motor is really strong - quiet - no oikl leaks. It has a Cobra muffler and head pipe on it. SWEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!

Congrats on the bike. I'm from western PA, too. Bikes are getting harder and harder to come buy in this area. Just my opinion, atc250r's are even harder to come by in this area. Because racing wasn't big around here back in those days. Farming and hunting were big then and now.

It smokes the Big Red in almost every aspect. The Big Red has nicer Electric Start and Reverse LOL. The 350X is really stable and has the power to spin the back end around anywhere. It's a blast to ride, and also a work out. I clocked it tonight - 68 MPH with 20inch tires. The Big Red is still great for putting around on though. I paid 1200 for it. :TrikesOwn

Hotroddal - good eyes - I fabed up a set this afternoon. The old ones where broken out at the big bolt hole. My new ones are a little thicker.

Anyone know what might be causing my back brake to stick sometimes???

I'll have to check the VIN when I get home tonight. I thought it was an 85. I thought the 86's were all white. What's the difference in tanks between 85 and 86??????

Keen eye, but it's an aftermarket sticker. Looks to me like someone did autobody work and paint on the tank Looks real shiney like base coat / clear coat

Congrats. I am also new to the world of 350X as I have had mine for 2 months. I also have been waiting my whole life for one. Congrats again. I really like it. You can take your time and get what you need for it on ebay. Gotta love that torque. You can give it gas in any gear and feel that torque in your stomach.

The most probable cause of the back brake sticking is the slide pin. You need to take the calipar apart and make sure the pin is not sticking. I ended up completly rebuilding the front and rear calipars of my 350X to get reliable operation.

Congratulations on owning one of the best trikes ever made.

The first trike i was ever on was 350x, my aunt owned it, that girl can ride, she'd make alot of us look like fools, lol

when she was ready too sell it, i had my mother convinced too buy it, then my aunt talked her out of it, so she sold it to my grandmothers neighbor, and now it just sits, im working on getting it from him, it was always picky, the very few times he rides it, about 1 out of 5 times, he has to ask one of us too start it, picky lil trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro:P but when she goes, SHE GOES!
