81 250R Front Brakes

Does anyone know if the front brakes of any other years 81-82 will fit on an 81 250R? Right now I don't have any parts for the front brakes so I would need everything. What years would fit? And does anyone have any parts they are willing to sell?

Other calipars from other R's or X's I don't think will work. The 81/82 R's were the first ones to have front disc brakes. The rotors are much smaller diameter than the other 3 wheelers. Another calipar might fit on, but I don't know other ones off hand. I did buy an extra front calipar from some one that said it was on a stopping 'R'. Well, it must have been stopping by using the rear brakes cause it was set-up. I'd be willing to sell that one to you as one you can rebuild/free up to be used. I later found a complete brake system on eBay and mounted that one.
