Looking for input on camming my 225dx.I've got a decent pipe, and was thinking of a camshaft. My engine is on the floor,I've got a little cash, and half of me is saying do it,the other half is worried about reliability. What do you think? Anyone hopped up a 225?

Can you get a cam? If you can just get a mild one that doesn't require a spring kit.

Found one at webcamshafts.I haven't called them to confirm yet.Looks like they offer 3 grinds.2 needing the spring kits. I haven't done my homework yet,so I'm not sure what I need.Thats why I'm posting this, hoping to get some good advice.

I saw that too but wasn't sure if those fit. If they do and your worried about reliability just put that 1st one in. You'd be supprised what a cam like that will do.

actually a spring kit will addd a little extra insurance on floating valves. btw don't base your grind on spring's base it on the motor and other mod's and were you want your power.

You might want to check this auction out, maybe this cam would fit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2493603598&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Thanks Fox. That cam would be too much for what I'm wanting.(lift not price).Looks like an awesome deal though.New it'd cost $172.00.
I mostly just put around trails, but I like to open it up once in awhile.

When your worried about reliablity it's one of the best things you can base it on.
