A co-worker of mine weighs 140lbs and has a 350X. Today he tells me he draged raced his friend on his 85 R and beat him everytime out of 4 drags. We all know the R is faster but it appears that if the rider on the 350X weighs 130lbs less, in this case, is enough to make the X beat the R. Not that this matters or proves anything. I just thought I would share this.

I'm told stock they are close, kinda liike a 400ex(stock) vs 250r(stock) and 130 lbs is alot, I'd buy it. Tires, gearing, condition on bike are variables too.

well the guy who the co-worker beat with him and his trike weighs in at 561, the co-worker weighed in at 460, now if u break it down into power to weight the r has 40 horses so power to weight with rider is 14.02. the co-worker weighted in at 16.42 and i could see the X beating the R cause of torque but either way i think its pretty cool.

I just feel bad for that shock on the rear of that R boy!?!?! :D
I always notice out @ the dunes that the majority of lets just say 250+ pound riders have banshees. I figure it's cause thats the only machine that can still rip around decently being kinda overweighted... & man are those rear shocks all but blown on most of em too... :p

I could see it with the huge weight diff. I have a 86R and my bro has a 86 350X his son is 135 im 195 and I can blow his doors off every run and it's not ridder error this boy can ride with the best of ya. He's owns an 85R and just bought a 05 YFZ to race.
