1980 ATC 110 cam chain adjustment / intake, exhaust valve clearances

Anyone know how to adjust cam chain tension or is it a spring loaded tensioner and does not have to be messed with?
Also if anyone would have specs on intake, exhaust valve clearances, I would appreciate it.
I have a manual on order but want to check valve clearances this weekend.

does it make engine noise ? clattering noise or any other ?

The tensioner ( on my 200 ES, 84 ) gets adjusted by having the engine run in neutral at 1000 to 1400 rpm, loosening the top bolt, and tightening the adjuster to x ft'lbs ( depending on model )

not sure about the 110.

When the timing chain is loose it will make a slapping noise and should be adjusted, but if your motor is quiet, thru all rev's.. i'd leave it alone.

its quite simple to tightn i there should be a nut on a sloted screw type thing under by the pull start some where...start up the motor let it warm up to operating temp then wile it is idlein loosen the nut and twist the screw out 1/1/2 turns...then back..tighten the nut and your good to go...it will automatily tightin it with the spring....if it is still makingnoise take the plug out of the bottem of the motor..its right by the oil plug across from it...take er out wile its running and thhere is another sloted screw in ther...turn it in or out till the noise stops ...hope this helps i dont know the valve specks.. ?:(

hey guys ive got i 1982 honda atc 110 with 30 lbs p.s.i. compression .what to do? ive got what looks like goood spark. and a rebuilt carb . if any one knows where to download a service book please help I am doing the repair for my boss.
