1 How much can I have shaved off my head and still run 91 octane gas safely?
2 Can I replace the crankcase seals without splitting the cases? I have tools that can remove the seals without splitting, I'm just wondering if there is some groves or something along those lines that causes you not to be able to remove the seals.
3 Does degree key help that much? I run sand most of the time and prefer to be in the topend of the pipe anyway.
4 What pipe is the best for topend? It has been ported and I have read the toomeys are not prefered for ported motors.
Thanks

WOW, I didn't realize I was the only guy who wanted to try these mods. As popular as Banshees are I figured I would have tons of replies.

my head on my banshee is ported and polished, bored out carbs, procircuit exhaust (it definetly has top end), boost bottle, prodesign coolhead, barnett clutch. rad valve reeds (i think).
it has lots of top end, and is very reliable. it starts on one kick. why run 91 octane when 93 octane is also pump gas? i run 93 octane with 100:1 amsoil mixed at 80:1. this setup seems to be a pretty good combination.
I was wandering about degree keys also, let me know if you find out anything.
i dont know if this is much help to you but it sounded like you needed some kind of helpful reply lol

I have many freinds with the type modds u want to use, my one freind has the sst fmf pipes with sst shorty silencers his is trinity stage3 port polish and is milled to 91 and just has a jet kit/power up kit and it flys pretty good, he beats the occational toomey runnin banshee, he told me toomeys are like a vaccum and when u port it they **** more fuel out then when its stock ported. degree key pass on that, trailprotrailpro only going to find improvements when trailprotrailpro full out drag racing and to tell u the truth i have heard of more people screwin up their banshees and gettin them to ping and sputter then heard of GREAT improvements. on the bottom end seals its a must to take it apart and split cases.

ok for a shee heres the deal
a toomey is an awesome pipe but for a ported engien you gotta get a T5 the T6 is more geared toward normal reads, and cool head kinda banshees any more than that the T% is much better. also look for maybe a CPI in frame or rocket pipes all make great power. also trinity makes nice pipes. dont; bother with a degree key they break!! get either a pro design stator plate or if you like to tinker you can slot the holes in your stock stator plate and get the same results for free. soembody on the HQ knows the right measurements.
as for the milling your head question i'm nto sure on that one i know the stiock head on one of mine is milled. i;d say your best bet is a cool head, or NOSS machine head. yuou can replace the domes to configure differnt compression ratios. stock banshees use i believe a 21 or 22 cc dome. if you want to try maye a 20cc dome you could find out. alot of guys on ebay or the HQ have extra domes for sale.
i would recommend toomey T5's thats what i use they work awesome
