Do you let your friends ride you trike ?
Do you feel an obligation to inform them to SLOW DOWN before they try to turn on pavement....
Should you remind them that brakes are not to be counted on.. LOL.. ( mine has brakes, but don't expect miracles. !! )
I let my friends ride my trike, simply cuz i'm trying to convince them to get one too so we can go riding..... and it's working !!!.. haha..

Family members and CLOSE friends only! :D I will never let just anybody ride my bike again. There is this kid I know, and he saw me riding my little dirtbike, and I let him ride it. He must have rode it wide open for 20 seconds. And when I got back on, the the brakes were almost completly worn off. Never again....

Hahaha...
One of my friends drove my trike a few weeks ago, and he was too soft on it, if that's possible, he was keeping the revs down too much for the gears he was in, but otherwise i have not had bad luck with friends so far.
I let my little brother try it and he was amazed at the comfort level compared to his kawi trike !

I only let my close friends ride my trikes, I dont let most of my family on them because they dont know the value and think they are dangerous and scary 3 wheeled death traps. I will let most people ride my 4wheeler.

Yeah, I let ALL my family and close friends ride whatever I have, even if its brand new. All my friends are soo much like family anyways...they help me out in the garage whenever I need them.

I let friends ride mine before I restore them. After that,HELL NO! I spend way too much time and money on my projects.Besides ,if they wrecked one I'd be such an a**hole about it they wouldn't be my friends anymore.

If i am in a good mood i let close friends ride my trike and i usually let my brother take it all day by himself, provided he gets his own fuel. But most of my mates have an ATV of some sort so if they are riding mine, i am usually on their's. My opinion is, i will let them have a couple of goes, and if they like it that much they want to keep having goes, GO OUT AND GET OUR OWN. They are not that expensive for christ sake.

The only person other than my brother that i let ride my trike was the kid who helped me fix it. He races MX on an 86 KX so i figured he would be used to it. Man, he made that trike looklike a million dollars, one of the best preformances on a trike i've ever seen. Hes been riding every day for like 4 years, 200x's, 350x's, R's, big bore dirtbikes, you name it, he had it at one point or another. Everyone else at his house wanted to ride it until he came back and said that it was the scariest ride of his life. Its funny how people change their minds so quick. lol
My brother is a different story. He doesn't ride ever since he was 16 or so (hes 30 now), but he is an absolute natural. I warned him so many times "Be careful, its not like a big red" "the powerband will kick your arse" etc, but what does he do? He drives around slow till he lines it up so he will be going across from us and lets it rip. That bike was verticle before i knew it. Much to my amasment though, he pulled himself up and got off the gas and put it back down. He wanted me to sell it after that, lol I think those are the only people i let ride my tecate. the red is a different story though. I put it in low and let anyone drive that.

i let just about anyone ride the 200es, after the manditory safety speech about the do's and dont's. i figure that nobody will be as hard on it as i am... :)
my motocross bikes on the other hand, i only let experienced riders ride. i dont want anyone to hurt themselfs.
and nobody drives my race cars or shifter karts other than my wife.

None of my riding friends want to ride my 185s.
They all got their fancy quads and look down on me. Fine by me.
Finally, after about a year of travellign with them on the roughest trails you can imagine, one of them mentions that, "You know, one of these days we're going to have to pull you out of one of them big holes."
I just laughed.
"Yeah, right. Count how many times you've been stuck, and how many times I've been stuck, since we've been riding together."
At least now I get respect from HIM.
Finally he asked to ride it and off he went. I wasn't impressed to see him return with my other buddy sitting on the front rack. In total, that poor trike was hauling about 350 lbs of people. I wasn't impressed, but there you go.
My 13-year-old son rides my trike often, but I let him know that I can hear every rev of the motor as he tools around the woods, and I'll be listening.
He's still too brave on it, but hey, he'll learn -- and likely the hard way. But isn't that how we all learnt?
Mostly though, he rides on my back rack. No problems, he's not a large boy.

Towing with the trikes is fun...
I had myself ( 160 lbs ) my 6 ft friend ( 220 lbs ) on the rack. pulling my friends 200M with him on it ( 140 ish lbs ) on loose gravel..
As much as i curse at my trike for various reasons,, she's tuff stuff..

I only let friend that I know have owned or riden trikes before and very close friends. I always give the "i'm not liable and if you break it you buy it" speech before hand. I usually include"breaking it means if you flat a tire..... so be carefull"
Most people want to drive the Pilot anyway so I don't have to worry much.

I will let just about anybody ride the little 70, it is so small that it is hard to hurt it and hard to be hurt on it. My other trikes I will let my friends ride around the yard after giving detailed instructions. The friends that have trikes/quads of their own I will let take it on the trail and ride their machine no proble. My brother can use my toys whenever he wants, as long as I am not going to use them but that is because if he breaks it, he can fix it.
