Just Dune'd IT!!!

Hey just got back from the Imperial Sand Dunes & man, WHATA RIDE!!! Sand was kinda hard-pack from all the rain last week, but softened up nice over the weekend. Just wanted to put up a couple of images of my TRIKE for ya, mostly have quad and buggie pics since I'm always the one to take the pics!?!?
Anyway, heres some pics & a link to me shoot'n tha hill in Patton Valley...

Man does that look like some great fun. Believe it or not I live 4 hours from there in Orange County and have never been there. I am definatley planning a trip. Your R looks sweet out there on the dunes. Makes me really not want to be at work right now.

Sweet pics thats how it was out in Dumont a couple of weeks ago, Hooking up like crazy. Makes for some pretty good hill shots. Looks like me and my group will be heading out that way come Turkey Day.

pics look cool, the vid wont work for me, because its a MOV format (quicktime), is it possible for you to change it to windows media or something?, I can hear it though, sounds like it runs good, And I laughed like hell at "watch him eat trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro" LOL

dude...i was just out in patton valley...the hill was deep powder AND BRUTAL FOR THE 350x (dont look now but Mymint87's going sideways up the wall) least i made it...hehe, not much for whoops at the bottom unless you where climbing were all the flunkies were shooting...hehe

the rest of the sand was kinda damp (which i liked)...made ya hook up really good ..

we musta just missed each other...

were out again this weekend (hope its still kinda damp)...then I'll be there the next saturday for a day blast...then the big party on thanksgiving...

Edit: I might get out there for a few hours on Thanksgiving day. Don't think I'll be able to make an overnight trip out of it though. I'll have to just get up really early, get out there and ride for a few hours and head home. Hopefully in one piece. :D

The 4-strokes had a difficult time go'n up the hill in Patton Valley, no matter what they were.... well I take that back the 400cc < had trouble.

That vid is taken @ the "Least steep" place & my shot up was not even near ballz out. I just wanted a decent vid, next time I'll go for it!!! :evil: & NO I can't change the format, go download the freebie Quicktime IMO :D Real nice of my buddies to want me to "eat $#!+" too, I couldn't believe they said that when I watched it! :rolleyes:

Mymint, I didn't see too many 350x's & I was in Pattonvalley Fri, Sat & Sun & each evening. Not too much going on there after dark though!?!?! I was @ the GW sand drags Sat afternoon too. You check that out @ all? I couldn't bleieve there was a WRX race'n the ATVs & rails, he did decent too. I need pics of that dude, I always missed it. That place has the Havisu feel to it, only without the watter. :p I'm going for Newyears next, unless I can get in something else. Going for just a day is a bit much driving for me but ya never know...

I'll goto Test @ night next time, love camp'n over @ Ogelbie (sp) though, can get everywhere in 5 to 15 min & nobody to bother you. Didn't see ONE cop or Border patrol the whole weekend on the East side!

Ogilby is a REALLY nice place..it actually was the first place I brought my family (being anal and all)...safe and low key...

(MEMO TO FLUNKIES: Follow the highway, and/or then the canal, until you see a wall with a bunch of fat dudes on shee's sitting at the bottom, if your on an "R" comince to tearing them apart....hehe)

nothing worse than bumping off to pattons at night only to have the buggie tracks turn into quad tracks and then twisting off to motorcyle tracks :eek: :eek: :eek:

what about the peak of the wall?...extremely bladed at the top when i was there..couldn't help but flying off it....WHEW..had to clean the britches...hehe

hey guys. I was there this past weekend. just got back. My 350x was doin ok. It wouldn't climp that steep part left of the main hill in patton valley. I could only get about 2/3rd up it. The regular hill was no problem though. Just gotta watch out for those whoops. I used to ride a cr250 and whoops = gun it. But on the 350x I'm a little hesitant to rip around with the throttle wide open on whoops. hahahaha. I was at patton on saturday about noon and at test hill in gw about an hour after that. My girlfriend killed the 200x near the ranger station at about 3pm that same day. what fun. She told me she doesn't want me to fix the 200x again. Just sell it and buy a banshee for myself. Your thoughts? I'll be in glamis thanksgiving for sure! see you there. I have a 85 (red) 350x and my name is Mike. laters

Yah, even in the vid (noob hill @ Patton) you can see a lip that I wused over. :rolleyes:
As for the rest of the hill, I'd always hit the tops @ such an angle as to NOT AIR for fear of the beyond. :evil: Not always a bad idea, somtimes theres other duners over there.... Turn'n a big roost @ the tops is always my first choice though. :beer

& I say if you made it, YOU MADE IT. The Warrior in our group took @ least 5 tries before coming up lateraly challanged. :p

After the first couple of times the Warrior didn't make it, my Banshee friend says (sarcasticly) "hey, need me to ride that thing up the hill for ya"?!
Warrior dude (Defiantly) "YEAH"!!!
Banshee dude (with an all puffed up superior ride'n knowledge look) tries it & don't even make it as far look'n totaly like a Noob-Choad :rolleyes: comes back, gets off (with a head hung low in shame look) & under his breath says "buy a Banshee...." as he gets back on his and rips up the hill in record time. :twisted:
