There are not alot of kawasaki 3-wheelers around here so every time you get to lay your eyes on one its kinda a treat. I found one in a chicken house the other day that is something strange ( at least to me ) I'll describe it as best I can so maybe someone on here can tell me what it is. I know that the year is an 84, its a 250cc fourstroke engine, It has front suspension of the weirdest kind ( uses 2 spring shocks mounted to the front of the forks ) and a manual clutch. It also has a round headlight and a speedo which is showing somewhere around 1100 miles. The plastic is not on it but the owner says that he has it and it is in good shape, it also has front and rear racks. I was also told it was drove to where it is setting now. I have never seen anything quite like it. So, what is the correct name for this machine and is it a rare find? I dont know what the price on its head is for sure butI know that its under 300 dollars.

KLT 250 is what you found. They are pretty rugged machines and tough too. That front suspension is crazy. They arent super rare but they arent like hondas either.

Yeah thats definatly it. I thought the strangest thing about it was that It had a manual clutch. Oh and that suspension for sure.

I believe they call that "leading-link" front suspension.

The neatest thing about those bikes is they have a locking diff. Inside the r. rear wheel is a knob just like a locking hub on a truck. Turn it and you get 1 wheel drive.
