ok.

Yesterday i wanted to fire the old Big Red up to power wash it, and hit the elec starter.. wrrrrrrwrrrrwrrrrr no fire.

So. i figure the plug is fouled " again ".. so i remove it, sand it down a bit, put it back in, no go... remove it again, and i realized the plug is DRY..

Even with choke on, and turning the motor over with elec start for 10 secs at a time for like a minute. no gas it getting to the plug.

I sprayed some gas directly into the cylinder and Put put put......

Air leak? from the carb / boot/ head ? or can it be something else ?

Can't see how, the tank had lots of gas in it, i even backed the bowl drain screw and let the gas pour thru the carb.. still nodda.

Maybe the filter screen at the petcock is full of trash.

Ha.. now that is possible... i get good flow from the overflow/bowl bottom tho, so it's getting lots of gas, not to say the tank could'nt have crud in it.. my tank is not rusty at all, and i rinsed it out last weekend and re-filled it with fresh gas.

Might have stirred sediment from the nooks and cranies of the tank when i rinsed it..

I have a carb kit on the way anytime now. ( checks mail daily ) Me and rob put on a Princess Auto o-ring from the boot to the head.. i'm thinking that o-ring might not hold up to the heat...
