Ok.. i need some tuning help.

1st thing. got an 84 big red 200 es.

The carb has been removed and cleaned a few times, and everything has been changed from factory settings.( Stupid me.. yes i know.. :( )

The bike will start, with choke on, but i have to touch the throttle, not even 1/8th throttle, just barely touch it and it will fire right up.

I did as the instructions say in the clymer manual ( start and warm up engine, turn in the ?pilot screw?<the one on the outside of the carb between the carb and head? until it stalls and then turn out 1 full turn. re-start engine and set idle again.

The needle is on the 2nd notch, and the plug shows sings of being on the lean side ( greyish plug tip )

To make it richer, should the screw go in, or out?

Right now, it runs, but bogs down under any load in mid revs.. and very low power in 5th gear..... almost can't run it in 5th.

and any other advice? ( I REALLY WANT TO GO RIDE TONIGHT, AND IF IT COULD RUN PROPERLY IT WOULD BE GREAT !!!! )
