Quick question...Will a 1985-6 front fender fit a 1983-5 200X?

I want a new front fender for my 200X but the 200X fender is so flat looking. The 250R waterpumper front fender looks way more racey. Will the 1985-6 250R Maier front fender fit a 83-5 200X? Thanks..........

I've seen many pictures of older model 200X's w/ the 85/86 250R front fenders so I would say yes, it should work

I'm not positive, but I believe the mounting holes are identical, but if they aren't, it wouldn't be that difficult to make it fit properly.

ok i they will fit a 1986-87 200x but not 82-85 because the mouting holes on the triple tree are twice as wide

I'm confused. Are you saying the 85-6 250R front fender will not fit a 83-5 200X?, but it will fit the 86-7 200X? How come the others say it will fit?

yes it will fit a 1986-87 200x.look on ebay at a 86 250r fender they have the skinny mounts and the 83-84 250r has the wide mounts that will work on a 1985 200x.i just bought an 86 250r front fender on ebay for my 86 and i have 85 200x triples and know they wont fit

Ok I am definitely taking your word for it that the 1st generation 200X will not fit the 2ed generation 250R but here off ebay are a photo of a 86 250R front fender and a 84 200X front fender for sale. They look close but the photos are so small its hard to tell.

The 200X bolt holes do look farther apart now that I look at.

ok this is wierd i have an 86 fender and it looks the same as the you just put up except the holes are closer let me do some more checking

Ok time to clear this one up

The 85-86 250r match up to the 83-85 200x.....They measure aprox 6&1/2 wide at mounting holes and aprox 2 to 2&1/2 at the shortest distance. That is the Front Fender.

The 86-87 200x Match up to that of the 350x measuring at 3&1/2 at widest points and aprox 2 inch at the shortest....

I've got a better idea and can't resist! Order a 250R for your 200X fender and then you'll have a non-race inspired look but it will run like a striped ape!! :D

Very funny.....I had a 250R and I know they are the fastest dam ATC out there, although I have never ridden a Tri-Z or Tecate. Anyways, for my situation I think its more affordable to make my 200X look faster than buy an R. If I want to haul *** I hop on my YZ250.....Couldn't resist...:):)

I have an 85/86 250r fender on my 85 200X. It is a Maier and came undrilled. This was of course bought many years ago but it fits and looks great in my opinion.

The 1985-86 250r fender DEFINITELY fits the 1983-85 200x. I did the exact same thing on my 1985 200x years ago. Order with confidence.

I got a new 250R frt fender on the way. I can't wait for the new look. My OEM one has a small crack down by the fork area which you can barley see and the guy that had the trike before me put some stics on it which casue uneven fading but the I think someone will still buy my OEM one on ebay to off set my cost of the new one.
