The 350X gear box mounts on the right side.... the 250SX/200's mount on the left side. The tire size is different too so the calibration will be off. (24" on 350X, 22" on 200's) Buy it though... it might still work.

From the pic I got email to me, the cable runs down the right fork legt and you can actually see the unit down on the axle ( right side ) as you sit on the bike. Any other insight Bruce? I was hoping you would respond. Whats a fair price for this? Its a HONDA unit.

Hmmmmm... definitely buy it then.. I thought only the 350X fed off the right side. I know the 250R (85-86) feeds off the left and I thought like the 200, 185, etc fed off the left. I just bought the gearbox kit online ebay BIN for like $55. However it doesn't have the actuall odomter or speedometer.

PS - Here's pics of the 350X kit.... the cable should go over the top of the axle.

Im wondering now if he will need the original spacer for that side to put back on it? Hope that doesnt make the deal fall thru. I would think I could find or make one for him though.

The gearbox replaces the spacer on the axle... and the dust seal as well. Go back to my last post and look at the pics I added. If it's a junk yard, I'm sure he wouldn't care if its missing or not. If so, mount it up and take him the spacer. I've got some extras here if worse comes to worse... GO BUY IT ALREADY! haahahaha

should work on the sx or the es. bracket ain;t gonna match up for a x with out some sorta bracket adapter. my brack uses the big bolt at the very top of the tripple tree on my 250es.

Oh..... I bought that HONDA dash off a CB400. I was trying to use it to mount the speedo and tach together. I've got 2 tachometers here but they mount to the same spot as the speedometer.
Now this other guy made up a custom dash for me, but I've lost touch with him.
Dang... I hope the gearbox system I bought goes on the left side. The one I just bought was for a 185/200. It would work on my 82R. Not to confuse you all, the one I bought for $55 isn't here yet... the one in the pictures is a legit 350X kit. I bought that, the speedo and one tach from the banned and nameless one a year or so ago. This past summer, he gave me another 350X gearbox drive to go on the axle. This one will go on the go-go girl and the $55 one should go on my 82R so all my Honda's will have speedos and my 350Xs will have speedos and tachs.
