I just won a 200x carb on eBay and it should be arriving soon. Anyways, does anyone know what main jet I'll need to start out at? Do I just leave the stock 200x jet in there and go from there? Will it run OK (for testing) with the stock sized 200x jet? What about the needle clip setting?

I have never done this, but I don't see the difference in air/fuel ratio requirments between these two trikes being very different (when all else is stock). What size carb is the stocker on the 185/200s? The stock settings should be ok for a test run, I would think. Maybe someone else knows something more definite.

Stock 185-200cc carbs are 22 mm. The 200X carb is a 24mm. There may be exceptions, but these are the usual carb sizes for the spacified cc ATCs. I have a totally stock 200x carb on my 200M. Didn't change a thing on the carb....but then, the 200m does have a 200X piston and cam.......

Why didn't you go for an XR carb? Good luck. I also predict your X carb should run close with it adjusted to stock X parameters.

I didn't want to jump up too much all at one time. Maybe I'll get that one later when I do some more mods to this lil 185. The great thing about eBay is that you can buy something, use it for a year, then get back what you paid for it. :Bounce
I'll try the stock X settings first, then pull the plug and check it out. Thank you.
