I would go with the dg exhaust system, and go with boyesen power reeds, you can get these 2 things out of the dennis kirk magazine.

get a esr exhaust, or second a fmf, the fmf is more low to mid and the esr is mid to top. Ihad a paul turner on my trx and it was nice too. might want to try a paul turner also. Dg is basically stock replacement, if you call they will even tell you this.

i like my PT pipe and silencer,it's the type 6 low end pipe, and it does just what it says,it makes tons of tourqe, good for what i do,tight tech hill climbs, depends on what you ride really.they also make a high rev pipe that is supoose to be good for a 23% power gain over stock, the quality is good and it fit nice

Wanta86R, no matter which pipe you decide to go with, try one of those billet aluminum exhaust flanges. The good ones have high temp O-rings that'll make pipe installation & removal a breeze, and they seal great & don't leak, plus they look cool!

I got mine from James Lucky had to machine it down to fit. To big for FMF and stock pipe . I just recieved my Mallot Exaust clamp .I had to machine half way through to get it on.To tight. No more leaks I hope...

BLOWN 331- where did you get your esr pipe from, and how much did it rub you, also what kind of power does the esr give you?

Blown 331

I bought the ESR pipe from ESR. It lists for $240 but we bought 2 at one time and they sold them to us for $200 each. I just asked for a better price and they came down to $220 then they had to make the pipes so it took a longer time then they said so they came down to $200 each. I replaced my DG with the ESR and the power gains were insane. Biggest gain from exhaust I have ever seen and I've piped TONS of bikes with expensive exhaust systems. Their website is www.esr250.com I heard it was having problems though.

I also like ESR products. I have their pipe and their exhaust flange and love em. The pipe is everything Blown said about it. The flange is what Red Rider describes and is very trick. I have had it for three months and not a sign of leaks. Their number is 559 625 3157. They are on the west coast.

were could i check these out online or order one and for how much$ You can buy one directly from ESR aka Eddie Sanders Racing in Visalia, CA for about $40 or on ebay, which is where I got mine for $25 and it fit my FMF pipe without any mods to it.

I dont own a R but everyone seems to say that the ESR 5 pipe is the best and FMF is second best...

Dammit!

Anybody that's owned both would put a Paul Turner high rev ahead of a FMF. I own a FMF currently but I liked my PT better. The FMF's are decent. Nice upgrade over stock and they look great. For pure performance there are better options out there though.
