I have used low flat bars on my 250r since day one . A friend was riding my bike and onother with ATV bars and said he felt much more armpump on my bike. Thinks its low bars. I was feeling lots of pump at the time so though I would give some a try. I looked at FLY and Renthal Both were same angle back, much more than mine and much higher. I whent for the cheep oners to try.

When I bolt up the bar curve to soon . This causes my tripple clamp tops twist. They will probably hold looks like crap . Before I grind my clamps does Renthal make a pair of good fitting bars for my 86 250R? My bros 80$ Renthals are doing the same. What about Pro Taper ? Do they make a kit for the old school ?

To answer your question about Renthal...yes they do. Well not specifically, they are actually 400ex bars but they match stock 250r bend .I believe the arm pump can be cured by rotating the bars forward or back depending on your personal comfort. Good luck, GREG

As md1985 said, the Renthal 400ex bars match the stock bend very, very close. I've got them on my R with no complaints.

I've got the ProTaper seven-eights, CR hi bend. I must say, extremely comfortable and super strong bars. Motocross Action rated the bars as the best overall of every 7/8" bar on the market. It is about 1" lower than the stockers, but I love em.

There is a great Renthal bar called the 200x bend also called the 652 bend.
It is however special order and costs $89.00

YEP. I got UMI ones that bend ever so slightly too soon, but mounted em up anyway. Just don't over-torque!!! They moved the first large landing I made, slightly back, and haven't moved since!!! I can deal with the nickle to dime sized gap for now but would like to eventualy fix that with a proper bend bar... I actually like that V bend cross bar kind, that usualy has a patriotic pad on it but am not sure what kind it is?

Well I checked out the bars today. Had lots of 400EX bend Renthals. I found a pair of the seven/eights CR High bend PRO TAPER . They are not as tall as the others but they feel great. (Look cool ). Well I think my arm pump was from the bend of my bars more than the hight. My bars were straight and V up on the end . (Stand up moto style.) Feels like elbows up all the time. I think Im looking for a down on the end rolled back feel.Did not see 200X bend but will more than likely get the Pro Tapers eventhough they really are not tapered on that model thay feel solid and light.

Like I said, best bars ever! I had to tape where my front brake clamps on though; maybe it's just me!
