The rear sprocket how does it work ,the more teeth the more top end,and less teeth on a rear sprocket would go faster in a short distance.Do i have this right. It's for my GO-KART, the one thats on there is 72 teeth on it and only one tire spins,i want to put a live axle were both tires would spin, should i go with a smaller sprocket(it's a 6.5 H.P. #41 chain , and a clutch)Now that both tires will be moving should i go with a smaller sprocket, any help would be great,thanks......svo58

A bigger rear sprocket=more power, smaller=more speed.

I would go with a bigger motor. 12hp

Right now i am using a clutch .I am going to get a torque converter for it.So which is it a 72 tooth (the one that came with it) or 62 tooth ,or 54 tooth ,it's for a dirt track.
