86 T-3 gear shifter question

I finaly got my 86 T-3 put together today. What a blast to ride. I need a Gear shifter, and a twist throttle. Somebody told me what year models would work off a kx and I forgot.

Oh yeah, me and my best friend lined it up with my 86r, and then my 85r. The T-3 killed both of them real bad. Thanx for the help.

the gear shifter is a tecate only item. you can use any year 3 wheeler. the 84 is not a folding tip one and the 85 is. only other differences is that the earlier 84/5 are black, 86/87 are silver. they also use the same shifter shafts in all the 83to 87 kx, kxt 250 engines. the throttle is a mid 80's kx one. i beleive they used them to mid 90's they have a l shaped top plate held on by 2 screws.....ebay is the easist on both. as 85 tecae parts seem common
