I always say Tea-Kate, (pronounced like the drink and the girls name)

I don't think I say it right but that is how I have always said it.

Yeah I pronounce it like thefox, but I think its actually Teh-Kat-Eh. For some reason I always say Tri-Z like tri-zed, but its actually tri-z! Hah I'm a trike name goof.

Tecate is a Spanish word, and all Spanish vowels have only one sound, and all Spanish words are accented on the 2nd to the last syllable unless they use an accent mark. Spanish E is always pronounced like an English long "A" (ay) unless its spoken by an American who pronounces it as an English short E (they call that an American accent). Spanish A is always pronouced like an Enghlish short "A" (ah) and we usually get that right.
So if you pronounce it correctly in Spanish, its Tay-cah'-tay, but if you pronouce it with an American accent, its teh-cah'-dee.
