i need to put a new crankcase cover gasket in the right side of the motor. i have the one put in (see picture) and I was wondering if you needed to take the primary and secondary clutch off to get to that other gasket.
Thanks in advance

Ok you got me thinking. I know that there are 3 additional bolts behind the first cover that hold on that spacer cover. I think that you have to remove the primary clutch in order to get at one of the bolts. I am not 100% sure though. If you do have to take one or both clutches off it is not that hard (as long as you have the socket to take the nut off that holds them on) and gives you a chance to clean them.
Anyone else actually remember?

ive got a clymer so that should help me quite a bit. I read through taking the clutches off, and i thought it seemed not to hard. thanks for the help.

Hey... I won a lot of gaskets on ebay. I have 7 of those gaskets. From a quick look at the schematic, I had thought they were stator cover gaskets. Let me know if you need one! theolderfox saw the gaskets... I tried to hand him one when we put my stator back on and he was like..." Ummmm Bruce, that's for the other side".. I was like :wondering
hahhaa
