No offense, maybe this is a dumb question but......
Do you remove one of the rubber seals from your bearings and STUFF them full of MORE fresh bearing grease before you install them?
The bearings come with barely enough grease to survive, you know.
Put the grease seal back in and install it.

You'll GREATLY increase the bearing's lifespan.

Cheap insurance.

i did do that the 1st time i ever did this job.i used chingy chang bearings and they had as much grease in as i put on my waffles in the morning!years after that,i redid the job using another bearing brand and didnt grease them up.its been like 3 years since i redid it.i'll probably grease the new ones when i do it again.looks like im gonna use all balls brand from rocky mtn atv

did a disassembly on thursday evening,man...what a mess! the bearing on the sprocket side basiclly fell to pieces once i pulled the axle, and the seal.funny thing is didnt seem to have a lot of play in it??? o rings on the carrier were dried to a fart and there was a good bit of grease/sludge on every thing.i used a soft wire wheel and cleaned everything up better than new, almost looks like polished alum! 2 new sealson the carrier,1 new seal on the caliper holder and im waiting for bearings.i ended up with "all balls" brand.a friend got them for a 400ex,said they worked well for many years...we'll see
